Circle of Fire is a four-piece guitar driven band that brings out an eclectic mix of grungy pop, rock, and ballads. Based on the East Coast near Baltimore, MD, their inspirations include a diverse blend of artists including Bonnie Raitt, Cream, Dire Straits, Shawn Colvin, Lucinda Williams, Allman Brothers, AC/DC, Aimee Mann, Audioslave, Susan Tedeschi...the list goes on and on. Darlene Coomes, lifelong singer/songwriter and founder of the band, plays acoustic guitar as she belts out her heartfelt lyrics with her unique smoky vocals. Joe Puleo shreds on his collection of electric guitars, adds an occasional acoustic lick, and sometimes even a sweet slide. Ken Malecki jams on the five-string bass as he holds down the low end with drummer Jeff Adams, who also helps out on lead and backing vocals. This album is their first release of all original tunes, and although they may be ready for their AARP discounts, they're not ready to give up on rockin' out every chance they get! Come on and join the Circle!!
