MY VISION: I started singing as a little girl, but had no idea at this young age that it would be such a big part of my adult life. I grew up with the music of the 80's and 90's and I would pretend, with my friends, that I was a singer in an all-girl band. During college and through the first few years of my marriage, I focused mostly on country music and I was sure that was the direction I wanted to go...but God had other plans. As I drew closer to Him, I realized that I wanted to send a really positive message through music that would truly make a difference in people's lives and in mine. I have been singing with my worship team at church for five years and I have been co-leading the team with my brother for the last two years. Although my album is not specifically worship music, being on the worship team has helped transform my vision and my calling. The songs on this CD are songs about life, songs about hope, songs about walking hand-in-hand with God and songs that will hopefully encourage those who listen. I have dreamt about professionally recording a CD for so long, but I wanted to record original music and, preferably, songs that I have written. So I started writing with a friend of mine, Charlie Tibbels, who is an excellent guitar player/musician. Then, through family contacts, I was able to eventually work with a producer from Nashville, Don Koch, to record an album with all original songs. I wanted these songs to portray the journey of how I had gotten to this point and also to set a path for where I am going. God has brought me to this amazing place in time to sing His message of hope and life, pressing on in the midst of your fears, your frustrations and your circumstances. So "Dream Big" became the title song because it really hits on the fact that God has grander plans for us than we could ever imagine. Even when the world tries knock us down, we have to hold onto Him and the faith that we have. The main thing I want people to draw from this music is truth and life and hope. We all go through good times and bad times, but I really believe that we can always find something good in every situation we face. Every one has a purpose here on this earth and everyone has the ability to step into what God has truly called them to do and to be. "One Life" can make a difference. You just have to "Dream Big". When you are "Overtaken" by God's love and His word, you can be everything you dream about. Just remember "He Will Cover You" in everything and everywhere you go. I am convinced that he died "All For the Life of Me" to give me an opportunity for salvation and an abundant life with Him. And at the end of everyday you can trust that "Love Eternal" is all you need. There may be days where you "Cry a Little, Dance a Lot", but He never leaves our side. And when we completely understand His love and grace and mercy...then we are "Finally Free" of worry and fear and we can say to God..."Lead Me On" into my true purpose. Each day hold close to your heart the fact that all this is not about you or me. Now and eternally, it is "In the Cross Alone I Glory". To anyone who reads this or listens to my songs, may you always have music and laughter and may gladness wash away every disappointment. May joy dissolve every sorrow and may love ease every pain. May you be blessed and may others be blessed by you.
