Nicola Gordon - Courage to Love

I love music, how it inspires, transforms, energizes and shifts my world. Music and song have been deep healing for me and those around me. I write for the joy of connection and for the honesty of expression, whatever is authentic and vulnerable. I teach others the craft of songwriting. 7 years ago, I put down my guitar, and picked up the ukulele and fiddle. Sometimes I miss the richness of the guitar, but ukulele is for me so simple and honest, a very joyous child-like sound that speaks to some part of me. I have taken on the challenge of allowing ukulele to be a real instrument for my expression. This new album is a reflection of that expression. After 5 other CDs my poet soul still persists, but it is a different sound. The experience of creating this CD was deeply augmented by the genius of bass player David Piltch and Gabe Witcher (amazing violinist). What an amazing journey, thankyou all!!
