Your requests have been heard! And Celtic Heart is the answer ... for all those desiring the peaceful sounds of the hammer dulcimer as accompaniment for prayer, meditation or yoga ... for those needing to de-stress from the hectic pace of life or to calm a cranky baby ... for those who love the elegant simplicity of the ancient Celtic airs ... this CD is just for you. Here's a sampling of reviews on Celtic Heart: The recording is excellent, finely balanced and elegantly performed on your hammer dulcimer. The overall effect sends waves of ancient Celtic themes to my ear, causing me to reflect on the sounds that would be played by our Bards at Tara Hall, and throughout Ireland, Wales and Scotland, especially in the Western Isles. You have captured the authentic sounds with great skill and sincerity. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the pieces. Listening to your rendering of 'Archibald MacDonald of Keppoch' struck a chord deep inside and indeed touched my soul and Lady Margaret's too. We are both Celts to the core. Ranald Alasdair MacDonald of Keppoch, Chief of the Honourable Clan Ranald of Lochaber ... I think it is the best one yet. The selection of tunes are wonderful and I enjoy the continuity which the selection of tunes allow. From beginning to end it flows very nicely. My favorite on this CD is 'The Song of Books.' This tune is always a session regular back home in Boston. It was a joy to hear it again and to learn the history behind this tune. Another favorite of mine is 'If Ever You Were Mine.' This one stays in my car, for sure. Don Pigeon, Celtic multi-instrumentalist/vocalist ... have listened to it many times ... I love it. The tunes are so beautiful. My current favorites are 'If Ever You Were Mine,' 'Si Bheag, Si Mhor' and 'The Cradle Song.' Kathy Case, hammer dulcimer artist AMAZING job! Absolutely beautiful! There is A LOT of feeling in these tunes ... they just touch me right to the soul. There is a passion behind them ... especially when played with the true heart of the musician ... I can hear the passion you put in them ... there is so much life and heart put into these tunes by you, and I feel it, and I know others will feel it, too. Anonymous.
