Clarinetist/composer Don Byron, one of the most adventurous voices in Jazz today, releases Bug Music, featuring the compositions of John Kirby, Raymond Scott, Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn. Named after Byron's favorite episode of the Flintstones, the recording is a move toward the traditional Jazz style by a musician acclaimed for his experimentation (dubbed by the Boston Herald "one of Jazz's most successful risk takers"). Servicing to NPR and Jazz formats.
