What happens when a kid who grew up listening to punk rock goes to school to study jazz and classical music? The answer... Breakfast All Day. Breakfast All Day is the solo project of Erik Kertes; a freelance bass player who lives in LA and plays for dozens of other artists. Using intelligent harmony, and very catchy melodies, this EP comes off as being powerful and quirky all at the same time. Although Erik spends most of his time in the major label pop world playing bass for, and writing for other artists, he never deviates from writing these darker, yet playful tunes for himself. The EP consists of 5 songs that create a menagerie, which spans over a vast portion of the Indie Rock genre. In this spectrum you'll find acoustic, almost country songs as well as heavy, dreary rockers. Breakfast Al Day is dissident, yet beautiful. Intense, yet fun. Dark, but hopeful. While being both intellectual and melancholy, and with big distorted guitars, I introduce to you... Breakfast All Day.
