"Then, out of the blue, came Paper Airplanes." Paper Airplanes hails from Wichita, Kansas. Their music can be likened to a cross between early-Built to Spill, the organic sensibilities of Ticonderoga and the playful abandon of Deerhoof. As one reviewer puts it, "This is the way indie-rock is supposed to sound: A jumbled-up rollercoaster of sonic arguments that manage to agree just long enough to remember the chorus.
