'95 was a great year for this player/producer, as Rick was awarded the Gavin Report's Smooth Jazz Artist of the Year Award (his Beat Street album was also awarded Gavin's Smooth Jazz Album of the Year and has received more spins than any album in the history of the format). Body & Soul finds Rick exploring the street sounds of hip hop and acid jazz, while remaining true to his jazz and soul influences. Assisted by producer Paul Brown (Luther Vandross, Boney James) this set should further extend his reach to urban AC audiences.
