On her 1997 release entitled Black Guitar, Leni Stern, transforms herself from primarily a Jazz instrumentalist, as witnessed on her prior 8 recordings, into a breathy chanteuse. Revealing yet another facet of her talent, Leni's singing is capturing and entirely new audience as she explores dusky timbres and moods with measured wit and irrepressible enthusiasm. While previously available on a limited basis, Black Guitar is being reissued on account of Leni's rising popularity and consumer demands.
