Brent Kimbrough & Company - Big Flip

Brent Kimbrough & Company is a consortium of the finest musicians in Chicago. With over twelve years of professional experience, the group has a deep repertoire spanning all categories of jazz and, when appropriate, R&B and blues. K&Co is a mainstay at countless Chicago area jazz and blues clubs and has performed internationally in Paris, Amsterdam, Madrid, Shanghai and Beijing. Brent Kimbrough & Company is proud to announce the release of The BIG Flip! This all-original album, 'six distinct reflections of my life since our last album, Wandering, in 2010' has been three years in the making. What we hope you'll hear most on this album, our third, is a new level of maturity and musicianship from not only myself, but collectively as this group, a heavily working unit, has developed a unique "band sound". Chris Neal, Chris Mahieu, Kurt Schweitz and Phil Fornett worked rigorously on this album, taking true ownership of my music and bound in the common goal of making it sound it's very best; and for that, I'm truly flattered and grateful. Rob Ruccia is a brilliant, nimble-minded engineer who's contribution to this album is immeasurable. This time the band was augmented by two of my favorite musicians, people. Trumpet virtuoso Victor Garcia lent his massive talents to "I Can Only Dream" and the iconic Chicago bluesman and frequent "K&Co" collaborator Rodney Brown lent his soulful horn on "End of Days".
