Pete Fountain's first big-band album in 30 years is cause for celebration. Backed by the New Lawrence Welk Orchestra (remember that Pete first became famous in the 1950s, when he joined Welk's show), the Crescent City clarinet legend plays a program of great old songs. Most of the arrangements are by Bob Bain, who was a guitarist and arranger for Doc Severinsen & The Tonight Show Band.
