Various Artists - Bamboozled

The original motion picture soundtrack to Spike Lee's BAMBOOZLED echoes the film's theme, which explores and satirizes the appropriation of African-American culture by both TV and the film industry. Acts such as Public Enemy, the Roots, and Rage Against the Machine combine to remake the classic Public Enemy cut, "Burn Hollywood Burn." Matching Lee's groundbreaking cinematic skills, the soundtrack also contains rare contributory appearances from such superstars as Stevie Wonder ("Misrepresented People," "Some Years Ago") and Prince ("2045 Radical Man").Numerous big time acts are featured here, including Erykah Badu ("Hollywood"), Gerald Levert ("Dream with No Love") and Bruce Hornsby ("Shadowlands"). One of BAMBOOZLED's hottest cuts is from Profyle ("One Night"), produced by ALLSTAR (SWV, Joe), which displays the vocal stylings of one of Motown's newest groups to good effect.
