Marty Balin - Balin

Sixteen years after forming Jefferson Airplane (later becoming Jefferson Starship) with Paul Kantner, guitarist/vocalist Marty Balin struck out on his own to record Balin. Marty, the voice behind the smash Starship hits "With Your Love" and "Count on Me", scored a pair of hits on his first solo outing with "Hearts" (#8 Pop Single) and "Atlanta Lady" (#27 Pop Single), while the album reached #35 on the pop charts.
