When Rodgers & Hart wrote Babes in Arms in '37, not only did they create a score full of soon to be standard songs, but they gave birth to a concept, that was destined to become a classic. The show is the original Let's Put on a Show musical, the one from which all those Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland movies evolved. Rob Fisher conducts the Coffee Club Orchestra in this delicious score performed by an amazingly talented and fresh young cast, full of a great sense of fun and energy, performed with the original orchestrations.
