Avraham Fried presents the second in the series of Chabad Nigunim. He was elated to find an enthusiastic audience yearning to learn and sing authentic Chassidic Nigunim. The overwhelming response to 'Hupp Cossack' was indeed heartwarming. The greatest nachas for Avraham was hearing from so many people, 'When we sing these beautiful Nigunim with our children arounf the Shabbos table, it creates such a warm and holy atmosphere in our home.' 'The Baal Shem Tov's Song' is a most fitting title for this recording. The year 5758, marks the 300th anniversary of the birth of Rabbi Yisroel Baal Shem Tov, whose holy soul revitalized Judaism and invigorated it with new life and meaning. Avraham is privileged to be the eighth generation from the Baal Shem Tov. By singing his song, Avraham pays humble tribute for the light and warmth he has given us all. This recording is but one small contribution in celebration of this special milestone. It is Avraham's heartfelt prayer that these songs will inspire and uplift it's listeners and refresh their spirit with the joy and ecstasy of the light of the Baal Shem Tov. (Copyright 1998)
