In the '50s, Count Basie reassembled his orchestra. A more disciplined unit than the band of the '30s and '40s, it was every bit as exciting - and thoroughly up-to-date. Which didn't stop the band from making it's greatest hit from a 1932 chestnut: "April in Paris." One of THE classic Basie LPs, it's been remastered from the original session tapes and includes 6 previously unissued tracks.
