V2 Records and Luaka Bop Records are teaming up with the influential Los Angeles radio station KCRW to release Alive & Rare, a stunning collection of live, rare, and exclusive tracks by some of V2 and Luaka Bop's biggest acts including: Moby, Grandaddy, Josh Ritter, Susana Baca, Mercury Rev, Elbow, the Greenhornes, Brendan Benson, Los Amigos Invisibles, Nouvelle Vague, Gang of Four, and Zap Mama. Live & Rare features amazing performances of classic tracks recorded live on the seminal morning radio show "Morning Becomes Eclectic," along with a rare mix from Brendan Benson, and first listens to tracks from Josh Ritter and Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan, who have albums coming out on V2 this spring. Live & Rare will be heavily promoted daily on KCRW's upcoming fund drive in late January/early February.
