David T. Carter - Strange Kind of Blue

The debut album from David T. Carter who has headed popular Northern California Americana band, Trailer Park Rangers since 1991. The album was produced by UK producer Gavin Monaghan, (The Twang, Editors, Elvis Costello, Nick Cave). It was tracked in Northern California at David T. Carter's & Steven Bazeley's home studio, then mixed back at Magic Garden Studios in the UK. While the album still maintains the "vintage feel" David T. Carter is famous for, this one draws from the lounge, jazz, pop stylings once again, of the very retro 50's & 60's, an era he seems to remiss on effortlessly. It is like his two previous releases, lyrical & musical, fresh & original.
