This second album by Jorge Alberto "El Gallito del Son," titled A Bailar en Nueva York, is dedicated to the roots of Cuban Son, which gave birth to modern day Salsa. A Bailar en Nueva York features tracks with infectious chorus and melodies, including the song Julian, written and composed by Alexis Valdes of the Mega TV show, Esta Noche Tonight. The title track from "El Gallito's" first album, 'MiTumbao,' is included in this production, arranged in the style of a traditional, danceable "Son Montuno." 'Donde esta mi Guayabera' is a lively, tongue-in-cheek song extolling the virtues of coffee bean harvesting. The Guayabera is a style of shirt traditionally worn by Cubans to collect coffee beans and other harvested produce. 'Aqui en Mi Pueblo,' made famous by the Puerto Rican Salsa singer Andy Montanez, pays homage to composer Miguel Angel Amadeo and carries El Gallito's unique 'Sonero' vocals.
