Led by Larry Kirwan, Black 47 is recognized as the premier Irish American rock group, having paved the way for current Irish punk/roots explosion led by such bands as Flogging Molly and the Dropkick Murphy's. With a pedigree for controversy while employing an ever-broadening melange of New York styles: rock, reggae, hip-hop, folk and Irish traditional, Black 47 campaigns for change on their 12th release and debut for UFO music, aptly titled IRAQ.
