iPhone 14: Camera Specs
One of the main upgrades from this year’s iPhone 14 series is the camera, especially the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

iPhone 14 camera
The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus stick with the same 12MP dual camera system, however, they do have slightly larger sensors and a wider f/1.5 aperture for the main camera.
The 12MP main camera also includes sensor-short optical stabilization, a seven-element lens, and 100% Focus Pixels. Whereas the 12MP ultra-wide camera includes an f/2.4 aperture, 120-degree field view, and five-element lens.
Apple has also added the Photonic Engine, which improves low-light performance, and Action Mode has been introduced for video which boosts stabilization whilst recording.
iPhone 14 Pro camera
The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max share the same camera capabilities and have had the most improvements in the iPhone 14 series
The Pro versions have a new 48MP camera which is the first-megapixel upgrade since back in 2015.
This incredible upgrade enables the camera to put pixels together in groups of four by default. You can also use ProRAW to capture full 48MP photos which results in a huge high res picture.
Here are the main camera specs for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max:
- 48MP main camera with f/1.78 aperture, second-generation sensor-shift optical image stabilization, seven-element lens, and 100% Focus Pixels.
- 12MP ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture, 120-degree field view, six-element lens, and 100% Focus Pixels
- 12MP 2x Telephoto camera with f/1.78 aperture, second-generation sensor-shift optical image stabilization, seven-element lens, and 100% Focus Pixels
- 12MP 3x Telephoto camera with f/2.8 aperture, optical image stabilization and a six-element lens
