There are three easy ways to transfer everything to your new iPhone. Just follow these easy steps:

Use QuickStart – Does your old iPhone run iOS 12.4 or later? If it does, then all you need to do is place both your old and new device together to automatically transfer your data and set up your new iPhone

Use iCloud– Create an iCloud backup on your old iPhone and then use it while you’re setting up your new device. 

Just follow these steps:

  • Connect to Wi-Fi
  • Go to Settings, choose your name at the top of the page and then iCloud
  • Choose iCloud Backup
  • Choose Back Up Now 
  • Under Back Up Now you’ll see the date of your last backup. You’ll get an alert if you’ve not got enough iCloud storage and you’ll need to follow the on-screen instructions to buy storage 

Use iTunes – Use your MacBook or computer to create an iTunes backup and connect your new iPhone to the same computer or Mac to transfer data. 

Just follow these steps:

  • Open iTunes and connect your iPhone to your computer
  • If your device asks you for your passcode or if you trust the computer, select yes 
  • Choose your device in iTunes 
  • You’ll be able to see and manage your backups in your summary panel
  • You will be able to see your recently backups and manually back up your iPhone 

How to transfer from iPhone to iPhone without iCloud

If you’re unable to use iCloud to transfer your data, then you can use QuickStart as long as your old iPhone and new both run iOS 12.4 or later. Just follow these steps: 

  1. Switch on Bluetooth on your old device and turn your new iPhone on
  2. Place both iPhone devices near each other and the QuickStart screen will appear, with the option of using Apple ID to set up the new iPhone
  3. Make sure you enter the correct Apple ID and choose Continue
  4. An animation will appear on your new iPhone, hold the old iPhone over the new device and center the animation in the viewfinder
  5. A message will pop up on your new iPhone saying Finish and then enter your current device’s passcode 
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions and choose Transfer from iPhone 
  7. Keep both devices next to each other until the process has been completed

How to transfer contacts to a new iPhone

It’s really easy to transfer your contacts from your old iPhone to your new device! Just follow these steps:

  • Make sure you’re connected to Wi-Fi on your old iPhone and signed into iCloud
  • Go to Settings 
  • Choose your name at top of the page and then go to iCloud 
  • Make sure Contacts has been selected 
  • Choose iCloud Backup 
  • Then select Back Up Now 

You can now set up your new iPhone using iCloud Backup, you’ll just need to provide your Apple ID details on the new device and everything should transfer over.


How to transfer apps from iPhone to iPhone

There’s nothing worse than losing apps when you get a new device! We’ve got a few different tips you can try. As mentioned before, you can use QuickStart or iCloud Backup to transfer your data, including apps. 

However, you can also use AirDrop to move apps from iPhone to iPhone! You just need to make sure both devices have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth turned on. 

Just follow these steps:

  • Open an app, tap Share or the Share button
  • Tap AirDrop 
  • Tap the user you want to share with 
  • You need to accept the AirDrop on your new iPhone 

How to transfer contacts from Android to iPhone

To transfer your contacts from your old Android device to your new iPhone, all you need to do is download the Move to iOS app from the Google Play Store. Follow these steps:

  • On your new iPhone, go to the Apps and data screen, you’ll need to choose ‘Move Data from Android’ 
  • Once the app is installed on your Android device you need to open it 
  • Tap Continue on both devices
  • Select Agree and Next on your Android phone
  • On your Android phone, enter the 12 digit code displayed on your new iPhone
  • The Android device will connect with the iPhone and you’ll be asked what you want to transfer 

Once the transfer has been completed, everything should be good to use on your new iPhone!


How to transfer text messages from Android to iPhone

All you need to do is carry out the same process as mentioned above, just download the Move to iOS app using the Google Play Store on your Android device.

How to transfer photos from computer to iPhone
