Bands that have survived a hiatus

Many bands go on a ‘hiatus’ due to musical differences or they think they can start off a solo career on their own! It’s supposed to be a temporary break but some groups have been gone so long it is doubtful they’ll reunite.

Take a look at these bands who’ve officially broken up, successfully got back together, still on hiatus, and more. See if your favorite band has made the list!

The best band reunions

Queen (1970 – present)

Queen is one of the best selling artists of all time! Adam Lambert is now lead vocals of this awesome rock band. Original band members Brian May and Roger Taylor are still at the forefront of the band after the outstanding performer, Freddie Mercury passed away in 1991.

Led Zeppelin (1968 – 2007)

The English rock band was huge in the 70s! Originally called the New Yardbirds, they changed their name to Led Zeppelin and signed with Atlantic records. Their genre music has been criticized which consists of hard rock, heavy metal, and blues-rock. The song ‘Stairway to Heaven’ has been influential in rock music.

They broke up in 1980 due to reasons such as the death of John Bonhams, scheduling and more. They reunited throughout the 80s, 90s, 2005 and finally in 2007 did a charity concert together which at the time had the highest demand for tickets for a music concert.
